CAREER IN THE ARMED FORCES.
Kerala is one of the states in our country from where the representation in the various defence forces is very poor. This is especially so in the case of officers. One of the reasons for this may be the lack of awareness among educated youth of the exciting career opportunities in the defence forces and other para-military forces. The recruitment to the defence forces is done through a transparent process and this process is a completely merit-based one. It has to be realised that, with dedication and hard-work, and proper guidance from the Academy, any one can hope to make the grade as an officer.
Apart from an attractive salary package, a job in the armed forces carries other benefits like superannuation benefits, attractive leave facilities, medical facilities for self-and family, canteen facility, free education for children, attractive insurance, leave travel concession for self, family and parents etc. Exciting opportunities for career progression also exist in the forces. The officers also get up to 2 years' fully-paid study leave for pursuing further technical education. Unmarried lady candidates with suitable +2 qualification can hope to be commissioned as officers in the Military Nursing Services (MNS)
Prospective candidates may contact the director of the academy on: 04662244518 (O)/9496502864/9387608367.
